The customer at the center of the textile world
2 years of the staple fiber needle punch line (SVL)
The SVL is two years old: Looking back, concept and a peak into the future
Two years ago, Groz-Beckert expanded its range of technology in the nonwovens field in the Technology and Development Center (TEZ) with a complete staple fiber needle punch line (SVL). Since then, the needle punch line has mainly been available to interested parties and customers for order developments and their own projects. From prototype production and product development, through to the market-ready product, Groz-Beckert experts are always on hand to support the customers. Beyond the industrial use of the SVL, a quota is reserved for universities, Groz-Beckert Academy Workshops and more.
In addition to external tests, Groz-Beckert also uses the plant for internal projects in the field of needle development. With this internal development of process knowledge in-house, customers also benefit from improved advice in addition to optimized products.
What has happened to date – the world is our guest
From Europe and the USA, to China and New Zealand – customers from all over the world are already using our service. Among these also are Fortune 500 companies.
In addition to these sector giants, we have also welcomed customers from other fields at the Competence Center Felting Technology. Feasibility studies are just one potential reason for these visits.
The extended non-profit service not only focuses on needling technology, but also offers options along the entire value chain. This offer is completed by the close physical proximity to the Groz-Beckert central and textile laboratory.
We are also delighted to welcome the first Groz-Beckert graduate of the training profession textile production mechanic, specializing in nonwovens technology to our team, who completed his final examination in this pilot plant.
Tried and true and always valued – know-how protection
Protecting our developments is just as important to us as it is to you. This is why the pilot plant is optimally protected from prying eyes and cannot be viewed from the outside during tests. We also have lockable project rooms available for use during your time with us.
Coming soon …
A new camera measuring system is currently installed and undergoing internal testing between the nonwoven card and crosslapper for realtime measurement of the fiber orientation. Following the successful test phase, this addition will also be available to you for evaluating tests.
We are also planning to invest in a new "state of the art" winder. Among other things, this will have an automatic cutting device in longitudinal and cross direction of the rollers and the edges and will be equipped with a metal detector.
