Application advice from the fiber to needled nonwoven

As a development partner, Groz-Beckert expanded its range of application advice in March 2017 with the staple fiber needle punch line. The line is available in various versions to customers and partners for tests and joint projects in both needle and textile development.

Customers also benefit from improved consulting and optimized products through Groz-Beckert's own in-house building of process knowledge - the focus will also be on customer products and customer processes. Groz-Beckert's complete range helps customers to prevent resource bottlenecks and production stops on their own lines.

The unique concentration of experts, development resources, laboratory services, machines, systems and a complete needle product range enables a unique usage concept in the sector.

Take the opportunity to experience the staple fiber needle punch line live – at the Groz-Beckert booth at ITMA Asia + CITME 2018. The 3D printed model to a scale of 1:18 of the original line at the Textile and Development Center (TEZ) in Albstadt, Germany, impresses with its wealth of technical detail.

Patented shape for improved needling parameters

Benefit from the use of the patented GEBECON® felting needle for improved surface quality on your end product and optimal break-bending properties.

Talk with our experts at the Groz-Beckert booth at ITMA Asia and discover how the improved stability and flexibility of the GEBECON® felting needle shape can reduce needle breakage in your needling machine, and also enable faster line speeds with reduced deflection compared with standard felting needles and conventional conical felting needles.

Durable, energy-saving and sustainable

The EcoStar® felting needle is a real highlight at ITMA Asia 2018 for all applications with the highest demands for surface quality. It is characterised in particular by its special working part cross-section, which has been reduced by 13% compared with the standard needle (figure on the left).

This geometry creates a narrower contact angle of the fibers in the barb and thus achieves a higher fiber retention capacity. Talk to our experts at the Groz-Beckert booth and discover the other effects of the working part cross-section and how you can achieve a more uniform end product surface quality in direct comparison to a standard felting needle. The EcoStar® felting needle also achieves energy savings of up to 7% in the needling process in direct comparison to a standard felting needle.

Get your own impression with an up close view of the GEBECON® and EcoStar® needle shapes: These special needle geometries will be presented down to the smallest detail in a head-high needle exhibit at the Groz-Beckert booth.

Groz-Beckert is presenting the innovative HyTec® P jet strips for spunlace customers. The significantly higher hardness and the spring-hard properties have a positive impact on all mechanical properties. Benefit from the significantly improved handling properties, optimal service life and high scratch resistance to damage when changing jet strips. Over 1,000 HyTec® P jet strips have already been sold worldwide, with more than half in the Asian market.

Groz-Beckert is looking forward to presenting various specifications of the HyTec® P at the trade fair. We invite you to experience first-hand the trade fair exhibit with its three versions of the new jet strip.
