Albstadt, Germany/Istanbul, Turkey: From 27 to 30 April 2016 the trade fair Konfeksiyon Makinesi will be held in Istanbul, Turkey. It is the most important show for the region's apparel and sewing industry. On the "Tüyap" exhibition grounds Groz-Beckert will present the digital world of sewing as well as the second generation of the special application needle SAN® 5 for technical textiles: SAN® 5.2., in hall 6, booth 618.

Center stage of the product presentation will be the special application needle SAN® 5.2 – a further development of the SAN® 5. It was designed to meet the increasing demands on the processing of technical textiles. Its reinforced blade gives the SAN® 5.2 a higher stability. The larger needle eye allows to use thicker threads without increasing the needle thickness. Also new is the additional scarf chamfer (hook chamfer) ensuring a reliable loop pick-up. The tried and trusted GEBEDUR® coating protects the needle from wear and, therefore, maximizes its service life. In sum, the use of the SAN® 5.2 is characterized by increased productivity, protection of the sewing material and uniform seam appearance.

Besides the further development of the SAN® 5.2, the exhibition visitors can live experience the service highlights of Groz-Beckert. The Customer Portal Sewing allows to plunge into the digital world of sewing – anytime, anywhere. The online platform is a continuously growing knowledge database providing a lot of information on sewing technologies and product details.

In addition, it features impressive animations of stitch formation types and includes the newly conceived product catalog where customers can select items quickly and reliably.
