Groz-Beckert at Exintex 2014
Albstadt/ Puebla: From 11 to 14 March 2014 Exintex takes place for the 19th time in Puebla, Mexico. The exhibition along the entire textile chain is considered the most important event of the textile industry in Mexico. The exhibitors there show a broad spectrum of new products from the textile, apparel and thread industry. Groz-Beckert presents selected knitting and felting needles at booth 812–816.
In the field of knitting focus is placed on the circular knitting needles litespeed® and Vo-LC™. The use of the litespeed® needle for high-performance circular knitting machines combines ecology and economy in a manner that is quite unique. The main effects are conservation of resources, cost-saving but at the same time also notably increased performance. Due to the optimized needle shank geometry and the reduced weight, this needle allows enormous energy savings and a considerable reduction of CO2 emissions compared to standard needle.
As a further product highlight Groz-Beckert shows the Vo-LC™ needle. The new needle generation combines many years of experience and numerous patented details. It is available for body seamless machines and large diameter circular knitting machines in finest gauges. The predicate of the Vo-LC™ needle, “perfection in precision”, has good reasons: To create a loop structure that is absolutely even, tight tolerances are essential in the needle production – tolerances narrower than the diameter of a human hair. The result is the most precise knitting-machine needle available on the market.
In the field of Nonwovens Groz-Beckert presents the new EcoStar needle as the first result of the “Innovations Initiative Nonwovens”. The universal felting needle for almost all requirements is a real highlight: In comparison with standard needles it offers users an improved surface quality of the end product, longer service life combined with reduced energy consumption, and the fiber transport has a lower penetration force, but the same efficiency.
Another topic is the GEBECON® needle, which provides the ideal combination: good surface quality of the end product plus best possible bending resistance properties. Due to its high stability and flexibility the felting needle with patented technology is suited for extreme challenges such as very high production speeds.
