Albstadt/Nuremberg: During the SPS IPC Drives in Nuremberg on 26 November 2014, the "elektrotechnik" magazine awarded the best corporate apps. The prize was awarded in four categories: corporate, catalog, engineering, and production. Die Groz-Beckert app "myGrozBeckert" made it to the shortlist of "corporate", being among the three best apps in this category.

The winners were selected by an expert jury and in an online voting. Another important factor was the rating of the apps in the relevant app stores. After the jury evaluated the usability, security, relevance, efficiency, and originality of all submitted apps, the shortlists defined in this way were featured in an online voting with 80,000 users participating. In the end, the apps that scored highest in the three equally weighted partial results came off as the winners.

In the category "corporate", Groz-Beckert had to give in to Thermo Fisher Scientific with their app "Thermo Fisher Lynx", winning the first prize. In the other categories the winners were ACE Stoßdämpfer GmbH with their app "VibroChecker" (category: engineering), Cadenas GmbH with their app "PARTCommunity" (category: catalog), and Krones AG with their app "Krones Mobile Line Assistant" (category: production).
