New, yet tried and tested
Knitting machine needles that rise to the challenge when processing certain yarns, cover special applications or have been developed in cooperation with machine builders – at the ITMA 2019, the Knitting division will be presenting exciting innovations in proven quality.
A clean job
Knitting staple fiber yarns is associated with an increased cleaning effort. The high amount of fiber fly results in dirt deposits in the needle tricks. This means that the machine has to be cleaned frequently and productivity drops.
The SAN™ SF special application needle from Groz-Beckert was specially developed for use with staple fiber yarns on large diameter circular knitting machines.
Its special geometry prevents the accumulation of fibers, dirt and other yarn components in the needle tricks. This significantly increases the time between cleaning – a truly clean cut advantage.
The right tool for any occasion
The range of items that can be produced on flat knitting machines is varied, with potential for countless additional applications. To make use of this potential, needles and system parts are required that are capable of fulfilling the relevant demands.
A needle specially designed for technical applications is an example of one such development: The reliable latch function when opening and closing enables safer thread insertion.
Its high surface quality and dimensional stability reduce the needle consumption and optimize the process reliability during the transfer process. The needle is extremely flexible in terms of pattern options and yarn usage, making it suitable for a wide range of technical applications. This opens up completely new business fields. We also offer suitable needles and system parts for knitting extremely fine gauges – Groz-Beckert offers the right knitting tool for any application and occasion.
A strong partner
There is also a wide variety of products in sock and hosiery production. Added to this is the fact that sock and hosiery machines are highly complex systems, carrying out complex production processes. This not only requires high-quality needles, but also a wide range of perfectly coordinated system parts. Groz-Beckert works closely with machine builders on all these knitting elements and is able to meet their extremely high quality requirements.
In the field of sock and hosiery production, Groz-Beckert is therefore both a system provider and a strong, innovative partner.
A well-coordinated team
With warp knitting, even the smallest irregularities can have a major impact on the product quality. A uniform loop structure can only be achieved with perfect warp knitting tools. This is why Groz-Beckert places great importance on precision and a system-oriented approach. At the ITMA in Barcelona, Augmented Reality will allow you to virtually remove needles and system parts from the machine and see this well-coordinated interaction of components up close.
