Apprenticeship starts with a lot of action
The introductory week in Wolfach
Start of training with a good mood guarantee
At the introductory event in Wolfach, you will get to know your future colleagues, the trainers, and also the Groz-Beckert company. Right at the beginning, the trainees and dual students start their working life with a lot of action. After a one-week orientation phase in the company, it has become a tradition at Groz-Beckert for all new trainees and dual students to go together to an introductory week in Wolfach in the Black Forest. Here the "newcomers" are challenged: Early morning sports, a colorful daily program and lots of information about the company. In group work, topics are worked out independently and then presented. Of course, not only dry topics are dealt with: Whether it's a high ropes course, a hike through the beautiful Black Forest or a soccer game - team building plays an important role here.
An apprenticeship with variety
There is a lot on offer in the Groz-Beckert training team.
Gathering impressions.
Every year, a highlight awaits the apprentices - whether it's helping to shape the visions in Balingen, a visit to the AMB machine manufacturers' trade fair or a trip to the world's largest textile machinery exhibition, ITMA.

You want to get involved creatively?
Creativity is needed for our trainee website
Creativity is in demand
The same job every day and no variety in your everyday working life? Not with an apprenticeship at Groz-Beckert: We offer the opportunity to take on responsibility in a wide variety of projects. We love personal initiative and creative ideas in order to constantly develop ourselves further. This is also the case with the trainee website: After more than 8 years of existence, trainees took the initiative and reinvented the wheel: A project team was founded, a concept was developed, trainees programmed and drafted texts as editors, and in no time at all a completely new trainee website was born! The website is state of the art. And that's not all: the trainee website team meets every two weeks to exchange news and prepare upcoming publications. This ensures a permanently up-to-date and informative website.
Fancy being a "manager" for a change?
The trainee company "Next Generation" has a variety of tasks in store.
Get your first experience as a "manager" of the Next Generation
A team of technical and commercial trainees is busy managing the company every day. There is a lot to do: from customer acquisition to the production of orders to sales. Special tasks and projects await you on a regular basis: One of these is the organization of the annual in-house Christmas campaigns. This includes, for example, the Christmas raffle, where various gifts have to be wrapped, which are then auctioned off by the employees. Through actions of this kind, you learn first-hand what it means to master more complex tasks.
Standing up for the interests of apprentices
JAV - The voice of the apprentices in the company
Standing up for the interests of apprentices and trainees.
The Youth and Trainee Representative Council, or JAV for short, represents the special interests of trainees and employees* under the age of 25. The JAV at Groz-Beckert currently consists of seven trainees from both the technical and commercial areas. According to the law, it has to represent the special interests of trainees and employees under the age of 25, so that the works council can take their concerns into account in its work. The JAV also organizes events such as the in-house Christmas party, tours of the plant and other events.

Another highlight of training at Groz-Beckert is the opportunity to spend several weeks abroad at a production subsidiary. Apprentices and students have already traveled to locations in the Czech Republic, Portugal, China, Vietnam, Belgium and India. This gives you the opportunity to get to know other cultures. However, no one is left entirely to their own devices. Groz-Beckert employees on site take excellent care of the trainees and introduce them to one or another cultural feature of the respective country. There's plenty to talk about when you get back to Germany.
