Weaving technology
This training provides basic knowledge of the individual process steps in weaving operations and the corresponding machines and tools. The entire process chain is covered, starting with weaving preparation, moving on to the actual weaving process and right through to the woven fabric. Questions such as “How is a woven fabric defined?”, “What makes a woven fabric?” and “What properties do woven fabrics have?” are also answered.

- You will gain basic knowledge on weaving technology.
- You will receive an insight into the basics of the weaving process using the example of air jet and rapier weaving machines.
- You will learn about the tools for the manufacture of woven fabr ics and their specific functions.
- You will learn the basic principle of tying and drawing in warp threads.
Target Group
Based on our experience, this course is suitable for beginners or for specialists from other textile areas who are looking to refresh and expand their existing knowledge.
Prerequisites
No previous knowledge is required for this basics course. We do, however, recommend combining it with the “Textile chain” course.
Methodology
The training consists of an interactive presentation with a wide range of practical examples and explanations directly at the machine. Illustrative material, such as tools, and related applications complete the training.
